Our older infant classroom takes into account that our infants are learning to walk. The classroom is set up so children can practice and learn this skill. Interest areas are designed to allow children to socialize as they learn and grow. The classroom is divided into two areas. One for changing and meals, and the other for playtime, crawling and walking. The daily schedule allows our staff to sit on the floor and play with children and support parallel play skills. Circle time is also a part of the daily schedule where children learn academic skills like shapes and colors. They continue to sing songs, use sign language and read stories.
